KELUD 2014 ERUPTION

The seismic activity in early February 2014 caused the status of Kelud Mountain in the province of Jawa Timur to be in an emergency and eventually erupted. The impact of this eruption was in the form of gray volcanic ashes which caused many cities in Jawa Timur to experience ash rain. As a result, many houses near the foot of the mountain were covered with thick ashes and many houses were damaged.

In response to this disaster, Yayasan Indonesia Sejahtera Barokah provided help in the form of 3000 packages of cleaning ware for local residents in need as well as free health service for those in need.
